Usage Analytics

Analytics are enabled . Anonymous usage data helps us improve the product.

What We Collect

SVG Stroke Animator collects minimal, anonymized usage data to understand how the application is used and to improve the user experience. We collect:

  • Feature usage events — which presets, fonts, and export options are popular
  • Conversion events — registration, email verification, and subscription actions
  • Error events — to identify and fix issues quickly

What We Don't Collect

  • We never collect the text content you animate
  • We never share or sell your data to third parties
  • We never use third-party tracking scripts or advertising cookies
  • We never fingerprint your browser or device

How We Identify Users

  • Authenticated users: Events are associated with your user ID for aggregate analysis only
  • Guest users: A random, anonymous session ID is generated and stored in your browser's localStorage. This ID cannot be used to identify you personally.

Data Storage & Retention

Analytics events are stored in our database and are used solely for product improvement. Data is retained for operational purposes and may be periodically purged. All data is processed server-side — no analytics data is sent to third-party services.

Your Rights

You can opt out of analytics at any time using the toggle above. When you opt out:

  • No new events will be recorded from your account or session
  • Existing data associated with your account is not retroactively deleted (contact us if you'd like this)
  • The application continues to function exactly the same

Cookies & Local Storage

We use:

  • Authentication cookie — HTTPOnly, secure, essential for login
  • CSRF token cookie — Security token for form submissions
  • Color mode preference — Dark/light theme stored in localStorage
  • Analytics session ID — Random anonymous ID in localStorage (guests only)
  • Analytics opt-out flag — Your opt-out preference in localStorage

We do not use any third-party cookies, advertising cookies, or tracking pixels.
