Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using SVG Stroke Animator ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

2. Account Registration

To access certain features, you must create an account. When registering, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete registration information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
  • Accept responsibility for all activity under your account

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account and use the Service.

3. Free and Pro Plans

The Service offers a Free tier and a Pro subscription tier:

  • Free Plan: Provides full access to all animation and styling controls, code export, a curated font selection, all predefined presets, and watermarked 720p video export.
  • Pro Plan: Includes everything in Free, plus watermark-free HD video export (MP4 & WebM with transparency), the full Google Fonts library (1,500+), custom font uploads, unlimited custom presets, and priority support.

We reserve the right to modify the features included in each plan. Existing subscribers will be notified of material changes in advance.

4. Billing & Subscriptions

Pro subscriptions are billed through Stripe , our payment processor. By subscribing, you agree to:

  • Pay the applicable subscription fees (monthly or annual billing cycle)
  • Automatic renewal at the end of each billing period unless you cancel
  • Provide valid payment information and authorize recurring charges

Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through the customer billing portal. After cancellation, you retain Pro access until the end of your current billing period. No refunds are issued for partial billing periods, except under our 30-day money-back guarantee for new subscribers.

Price Changes: We may adjust subscription pricing with at least 30 days' notice. Price changes take effect at the start of your next billing cycle.

5. Intellectual Property

Your Content: You retain full ownership of all text, animations, and exported files you create using the Service. We claim no rights to your creative output.

Our Service: The Service itself — including its design, code, logos, and documentation — is owned by SVG Stroke Animator and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the Service without written permission.

Font Licensing: Google Fonts used in the Service are provided under their respective open-source licenses. When uploading custom fonts (Pro feature), you are responsible for ensuring you have the appropriate license to use those fonts.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Generate, store, or distribute illegal, harmful, or offensive content
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service for other users
  • Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Service
  • Resell, redistribute, or sublicense the Service without authorization

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

7. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to:

  • Scheduled maintenance (we aim to provide advance notice)
  • Unexpected technical issues or outages
  • Factors beyond our reasonable control

We are not liable for any loss or damage resulting from service interruptions.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SVG Stroke Animator and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, with or without notice.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Any active subscription will be canceled, and no refund will be issued for the remaining billing period (except as required by applicable law).

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Austria, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Austria.
